I got those once today from after I have called the SABC (TV license due). Firstly they cannot and may not send a verbal warning for a summons pending without it being justified with endless mail correspondance. I have challanged VVM to summons me and take me to court, I was at the time in Singapore for three months and received accounts from MTN for 3 G service of R8000 and then R12000 respectively (and this for 3 G). Firstly I was not in the country, secondly 3 G laid dormant for the duration when I was abroad ... However after visiting the pathetic MTN at canal walk many times - getting reference numbers from MTN investigating pending .... I get handed over to VVN ... the gentleman that phoned me furnishing a mail adr MMV@MTN.CO.ZA - personally I think he has taken advantage of the pre school strike and was attempting to make R5-00 / hour as pocket money as he did not make sense and if his life depended on service delivery may he RIP ..... After almost 8 years they phoned me and told me that I have an outstanding MTN account. I must pay or legal action will be taken. I have explained my situation that my deceased husband who passed away in 2003 was responsible for the premium payments and that the estate had informed them to claim my account aswell as my late husbands' account through the estate. I have also asked for a statement and have not received it. When I asked them to explain how the anniversary of bad debt works, they tell me I should know, they will not answer my questions. Now they call me and demand that I must speak in english as none of them are able to speak afrikaans. Isn't it my right to be assisted in afrikaans when they phone me, to enamble me to express myself without making any mistakes? I am also having problems with VVM attorneys.
