Share and Enjoy: What Happens if you Order a Bacardi Breezer in Outback Australia So, with Petrol Bombs and Rubber Bullets going off on the lawns of South Africa’s Union Buildings and innocent shoppers being threatened with weapons when they leave a store. I have to ask the question. Are we a country in recession where strike action and emotion is spilling over into violent protest, or is South Africa a country that is in the grips of a Civil War? This story is starting to read a little like a Hollywood suspense Thriller, Doctors getting death threats, Doctors making YouTube style recordings because they are too scared to use their e-mail, what next? I really had to think about this post for a change, and the reason I say that is because the message in my own mind is SO simple that it absolutely blows my mind every single day in South Africa how many people and how many companies get it so wrong. Customer Service is what I am talking about, or if you happen to be South African the apparent lack thereof. The sad truth about this lot is that in the last 7 days more people in Africa have probably died from Tuberculosis than have died globally from Swine Flu since the Sensationalism started. I know for a fact that more people have died from HIV in South Africa alone in the last 7 days than globally from Swine Flu. So today I am going back to basics, I am going to learn to use either the telephone or e-mail when I would like to communicate with someone. If you are not in my phonebook, then the chances we didn’t ever know each other and I will have no reason to call you. South Africa now hold the number 1 spot in both ODI and Test Cricket Rankings, and it is well deserved I think. Recent victories in series both in England and in Australia give them the right that spot in my opinion. Well done boys. The New Act also contains higher fines and stiffer sentences for contraventions of the Bill. In terms of the Act, passengers will not be allowed to drink in a vehicle and it will be an offence to have an opened container of liquor in the vehicle. Jonathan Trott became the latest South African born English test batsmen to score a hundred on debut, following in the footsteps of his captain in this test, Durban born Andrew Strauss. |
